JPPID Special Issue on Post-Secondary Education for People with Intellectual Disabilities
The Journal of Policy and Practice in Intellectual Disabilities (JPPID) is the peer reviewed journal of IASSID.  Editors of this special issue are not seeking opinion pieces or editorials; articles should be based on sound analysis, stem from an empirical basis, or use case studies to elaborate on a policy or practice that presents a contribution to the literature.  Those interested should send an email with a working title, author list, and brief summary (300–500 words) of their proposed manuscript to co-editors Meg Grigal ( megrigal@verizon.net) or Debra Hart ( debra.hart@umb.edu). Call for Papers Submission Deadline: February 1, 2011.

VSA invites middle and high school students to take a closer look at the world around them, examine how disability affects their lives and the lives of others, and express their views through the art of playwriting. Playwrights may write from their own experience or about an experience in the life of another person or fictional character. Scripts can be comedies, dramas, or even musicals—be creative!
